Overview
SmartWare now offers integration with Encompass, providing the ability to access the Encompass part list and order parts directly from Encompass on the technician mobile application through SmartParts.
New Options
In Setup Franchise, User Defined Values, Material (tab) the following options were added:
- Enable Encompass (checkbox):
- This option allows each office to decide if they want Encompass to be available on the technicians iPad applicated.
- Checked: If enabled, allows Encompass as an ordering option on the technician's iPad when ordering parts
- Unchecked: If disabled, Encompass will not be an available option on the technician's iPad when ordering parts.
- Allow Selecting different vendor per part (checkbox):
- Checked: If enabled, allows technicians to choose a different vendor specific to each part on a work order. This gives flexibility in sourcing parts from different vendors based on availability, pricing or other factors.
- Unchecked: If disabled, all parts will be ordered from one vendor.
- Checked: If enabled, allows technicians to choose a different vendor specific to each part on a work order. This gives flexibility in sourcing parts from different vendors based on availability, pricing or other factors.
- Default vendor (drop down):
- Select the desired default vendor for parts ordering by choosing one of the following options:
- Encompass: Select this option if you want Encompass to be the default vendor for parts ordering.
- Will only be available if 'Enable Encompass' = checked
- Marcone (default value): Select this option if you want Marcone to be the default vendor for parts ordering
- Neither: Leave blank if you do not want to set a default vendor
- Encompass: Select this option if you want Encompass to be the default vendor for parts ordering.
- Select the desired default vendor for parts ordering by choosing one of the following options:
Vendor
The vendor 'Encompass' must be setup in your Vendor list. You can check to see if you have 'Encompass' setup by looking at Material -> Vendors. If you see 'Encompass' in the list (as seen below) then 'Encompass' is already setup and nothing else needs to be done.
If you have to add 'Encompass' then please do the following:
- Click the
button on the Vendor grid
- On the New Vendor panel, select 'Encompass'
- Enter the rest of the required fields then click Save.
