Common Functions
There are several functions that are common throughout SmartWare. Below is a list of the most common functions along with a brief explanation of each item.

Clicking the three-lines in the top left-hand side of SmartWare will collapse and expand the Main Menu options available on the screen | ||
Saves any changes that were made and opens the full screen displaying additional options that are not available from New Record screens. (An example of a new record screen would be New Customer or New Work Order screen) | ||
Saves any changes that were made | ||
Will discard any changes that were made | ||
Clears out any criteria that was previously entered on a search panel | ||
Will create an Excel export based off information displayed on the selected panel | ||
Allows you to select different ways to view information for a panel | ||
Indicates a way to make a new record (IE. New Customer, New Work Order, New Location) | ||
Opens and/or edits a specific item | ||
Moves a record from one side of the screen over to another side of the screen. (IE. Would allow you to move a specific customer over to a new work order) | ||
Calls a specific phone number | ||
Sends a text message to a specific phone number | ||
Performs a search based off criteria that was entered | ||
Performs a search based off criteria that was entered, or will display a list of available options | ||
Fields that are outlined in red indicate a required field and cannot be left blank | ||
Displays a calendar from which you can select a specific date | ||
< > buttons are normally found around a date field allowing you to toggle and view information for different dates or years | ||
Will close a panel | ||
Displays additional options available for a specific panel | ||
Will refresh the information displayed on a panel or page | ||
Allows updated part information to be viewed if part has been superseded | ||
Clicking this button on specific screens will take users to User Guides for the specific page |
