Introduction
Recurring work orders allow you to make future scheduled appointments for work.
Setup Franchise
Setup Franchise -> User Defined Values -> Work Order tab
There are two new fields added:
- Recurring
- Toggles all recurring functionality within SmartWare. This includes:
- Customer -> Jobs widget and Appliance Wellness Plan widget
- Dispatch -> Recurring tab
- Toggles all recurring functionality within SmartWare. This includes:
- Number of Days
- Used to determine how many days in the future to show recurring work orders on the grids mentioned above.

If the 'Recurring' option is enabled in Setup Franchise -> User Defined Values -> Work Order tab, then a new function is available, 'Edit Recurrence'
If the 'Recurrence' button is clicked, you get this screen:
- Enable Recurrence
- If checked, you see the list of tasks and recurrence pattern.
- If unchecked, both the list of of tasks and recurrent pattern are hidden.
- List of Tasks
- List out all the tasks from the work order.
- Check the tasks you include on the work orders that will be created.
- Recurrence pattern
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
- Daily
- Select the Occurrence Pattern you want to use. Once you click Save, all the future work orders will be created.
- NOTE: If you remove or change the recurrence pattern, all future jobs (from today on) will be Cancelled and a Cancel Reason of 'Recurrence Pattern Changed'.
