Reconnecting your QBO to your SmartWare
If you cannot transfer to QBO, please open the accounting menu on the left then click on QuickBooks Setup
Then click on the verify button
If you see this error, you need to reconnect your QBO to your SmartWare:
Could not connect - authentication error. Please redo the Connect to QuickBooks and re-enter the QBO Token, Secret and Realm ID |
This is due to credentials needing to be reset for QBO to connect with SmartWare. This occurs every 6 months or so
- You will FIRST need to login to your QB in the same browser that you have SmartWare open in
- Then in SmartWare click on Accounting | QuickBooks Setup, and then click on the connect to QuickBooks button. A separate window will open asking you to authorize this connection. Hit authorize to be reconnected
- After it updates the credentials, you can click on the Verify button on the QuickBooks Setup page to confirm it has been reconnected
Then you can go back to the transfer screen and try again
