Where can you view notes about a work order?
SmartWare
- Work Order | Options | Notes
- Dispatch | Dispatch View: Under Edit (column) click the (Show Notes) button
- Dispatch | Calendar View: Right click on a work order form the Calendar view and select Show Notes
iPad
- Scheduled Appointments | Work Order: Customer detail panel will display the Job Description & Analysis & Work Performed notes
- Scheduled Appointments | Work Order | Job History (button): Job History panel will load displaying a list of all work orders for the selected customer. Clicking on a work order will display ALL notes associated with the work order in the bottom portion of the Job History panel
Notes and Note Types:
Work Order notes are used to record any notes specific to a work order. There are multiple note types available for recording different types of information about a work order.
Below is a brief explanation of each work order note type:

Technician Alert | Used to record notes provided by the technician that are not specific to the service work. • (e.g. Technician cancels work order off their iPad and enters in reason/explanation of why they removed the job from the iPad) |
